Hi,

This is a stupid question, but how do I actually do blacksmithing? The tutorial didn't work for me... got stuck and had to get my character teleported out of the starting room to Britain... so I didn't learn how to do it and I can't find any information on how to do it.

Also, is there a chatty community out there at all.. I'm finding the ingame silence rather deafening.

First you need raw material, example ingots. But before you get ingots you need ore. You get ores by mining in caves or near moutains. You take the ores and smelt it at a forge. This is done by double clicking the ores and click on the forge. Forges are out of town and in town mostly by blacksmiths. The smelted ore becomes ingots.

To start blacksmithing you need a smith hammer, which can be made from a tinker and I think blacksmiths NPC's have em not sure about that. Just double click the blacksmith hammer and a menu pops up just click which one you want to make, just as long as your blacksmith skill is high enough and you have enuff ignots you will have a possiblity to make it, meaning you can fail also.

I forgot to mention that in order to start blacksmithing you need to be by a forge and an anvil. sorry about that

Firstly, welcome to the forums. Feel welcome to post as many questions as you wish. The ask a question is the best place to find out such information. I've never made a blacksmith before. What shard are you on, there is no doubt someone who uses this forum that can meet you in game to give ya a hand. o, and secondly, be warned Maddux's advice (however good) will only ever be aimed at PvP.
