untill they fix all the bugs on Kingdom Reborn do you think? Sorry for another rant thread but I am very dissapointed in wasting hours of my time to find out the slowness of the game means I have to play through a 800x600 resolution meaning the game moves faster yes, but writing of NPC names etc turns blurry and the general concept of graphics turn poor.

After fiddling with that for a good half hour, i'm finally in, wahoo, but unfortunatley find a bug within 2 minutes of actually playing; when I try and use animal taming for any creature it says 'this animal cannot be tamed'. I have googled my problem and found I am not the only player experiencing it therefore UO have already cocked up 1 skill for Kingdom Reborn, don't know about the others! I'm also meeting the system requirments for the game by far yet it still finds a way to not run properly.

Now, your all probably thinking 'ooh, why dosen't he just shut up about it', blah blah. I understand and I would but I just think all this excitment and designing was pointless unless they actually decide to do something about it. I'd really like to play the game for real - woulden't all of us and from looking at video's and screenshots the graphics look beautiful, you could compare them with these other MMORPG's, UO just need to fix everything, start again if they have to. Didn't they perhaps think before they threw it on the internet - 'hmm, wonder if this game is corrupted with bugs litrelly making it unplayable?'. Obviously not.
Oh and by the way, like I posted in the other thread I'm not crying for help over KR so much because I think 2D sucks, no no no, the gameplay makes the game, not the graphics, I just would like to play something a little more advance, bug free, hastey and playable. Heck, say what you want but my hopes are sky high for this game to take a U-turn and actually be a success.

I agree with you. I play this game for its depth, not its graphics. If I was into graphics I would have left long ago.

But to actually expect EAMythic to actually come through on their overhype? That is really just too much to hope for. As a long time p(l)ayer, 10+ years. Just look at what they have dumped untold money and resources into over the years.

At least 2 direct sequels. And at least one of them was nearly ready to be released. Parts of them both were shoehorned into the game at later times.

now we get the KR client. How can they expect people to want to use it, if many people can not even get it to download properly or even patch properly. And not counting all the bugs you pointed out, if and when you get it working.

I knew from past experiences with the overhyping which EAMythic always does, that pre-release videos of the KR client would disappoint people once it went live.

Hence my signature. Whenever EAMythic annouces some new revolutionary system/event/whatever, I usually grab a double-fistful of salt. Its hell on the blood pressure, but it shocks my system to not be surprised by what EAMythic does to the game.

Could UO be turned around? Possibly, but not under the current management/company.

Once again, I'm not critcizing EA for UO as a whole, just their new clients they get hyped up about and actually get us waiting for a few months to find it's a load of crap.
Ah well, maybe i'll look back on this thread in a year or so and forgive myself.

What do you have to forgive yourself for? You seem like a veteran player that really enjoys UO? The game play, etc, but you seem to be burnt out on the bs from EAMythic, like many long time players.

I've been re-activating UO constantly in the last 10 years. Forget it mate, KR is !!!!, end of discussion.
