![]() | How do I repair my gear? It's all breaking and I can't fix it. Is there somewhere I can go to pay to have it fixed? I'm working on my Blacksmithing on a differnt toon, but crafting has never been a favorite of mine. I like to be out killing stuff. Anyone know what I can do? |

![]() | Re: How do I repair my gear? Any crafter can create a repair deed, which you can then use to repair your items. The higher their skill level, the less chance of your item losing durability after you use the deed on it. Also you can give your items to someone and they can repair it for you, although some might make you pay for the service. Last edited by Risso; 17th May 2008 at 08:26 AM. |

![]() | Re: How do I repair my gear? Different gear takes different repair deeds to return them to higher durability. Leather gear take Tailor repair deeds, Iron made armor, and weapons take smith repair deeds. Some elven wooden armor, and bokuto's take Carpenter Repair Deeds. Glasses take Tinker Repair Deeds I believe. You can purchase a Tailor Repair Deed, or Smith Repair Deed from a player run vendor. Once purchased you take the article to be repaired and the Deed to a Tailor shop or a Smith shop. Double click the deed and then the article to be repaired. The article must be in your backpack to be repaired. If you have a trusted friend or guild mate that is a Tailor or Smith they may do the repairs for you. One exception to using Repair Deeds are the Deer Mask, Bear Mask and some of the other head pieces. Those can only be repaired by an actual Tailor. Be Safe |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: How do I repair my gear? For 2D client, you'll need blank scrolls besides your smithing tool. Click on the repair item of your smith hammer/tongs/etc and target the black scroll. Voila...instant repair deed. To use the deed, it must be for the appropriate item, i.e. the tailor deed wont work on your Soul Seeker weapon. Also, you have to be in the blacksmith npc shop to use the smith deed on your metal armor and weapons. One more thought on repairs, if the item is very low on durability such as 1/90 durability, you will want to use Powder of Fortification on it before attempting to repair it. The POF will increase the durability 10 points per application so that item would be 11/100 durability and less likely to POOF on repair. ![]() ![]() Avatar to left shows use for new threads. ![]() | Re: How do I repair my gear? Some weapons and shields are repaired by a Carpenter. You might consider Powder of Temperament. A jar contain 10 charges and each charge adds 10 to an item's durability up to 254 max. PoTs are Smith BoD rewards. On Baja they sell for 70k to 100k. I use them on my valued weapons, shields and armor. |

![]() | Re: How do I repair my gear? Uobuoy is talking about powder of fortifying. Everytime you will repair an item it has a chance of loosing its durability, sometimes you will have to use several repair deeds on an item in order to repair it, hence you wil have lost durability. Maximum an item can have is 255(A)/255(B) durability, over time this will drop if you use the item. (Newly acquired artifacts always come with 255 dur). To put A back to its maximum (defined by B) you need to use a repair deed (smith/tailor/tinker/fletcher/carpenter). To put B back to its maximum you need to use powder of fortifying, this has 10 uses to it, each use will add 10 durability to your item maximum durability (=B). This can be done up to 255 durability. Suppose you have 250 maximum durability on your item and you use a powder of fortifying on it, you will only add 5 more durability to it instead of 10, so its best not to use it in this case. For repair deeds its best to use legendary repair deeds in the category smithing, tailoring, for the other 3 you will only find grandmaster repair deeds. I hope this answers your question. ![]() Living like a king Last edited by McJiff; 18th May 2008 at 07:47 AM. |
