How do I delete things from my backpack?

Hi all,

I had to mine some ore for a newbie quest and I now have too much to move but I can't for the life of me, figure out how to drop some onto the ground?

I know there will be a dead easy way of doing it but how?

You just drag and drop and if one location doesnt work try another, UO is funny like that, hehe

Click pile, and try to drag it. Popup with a number will come (=number of ore), where you just type in how many you would like to actually pick up, and then click "Okay". The number of selected ore will be at the tip of your mousetip (I hope that´s the word for it... you´ll know what I mean when you do it) and you can drag it anywhere you want to, just need to click it once on a tile on the ground to put it down there.

Sounds complicated (it isn´t really, it´s just me ^^) and I hope I understood your question correctly... (if not, please excuse the misunderstanding) At least that´s how you pick up a part of the stacked pile. How much you have to take off is something you´ll have to try around with though. (that´s what I do too, because I always forget which type of orepile weighs how much..

)

just take the item and put on someones body to trade it.

tell them it theirs and they dropped it a while back.
