that may and may not be true.. its kinda like generalizing and saying that any forum that has a lot of posters is going to have a lot of jerks.. Ive been to quite a few large forums and never have i come accross the "quality" of people ive seen at stratics...

it all comes down to the staff and what they allow.. stratics allows stupid people derailing posts and insulting posters and devs alike... Id like to think that UOF, if we ever get as big.. will be able to maintain the quality and community feel we currently have. I guess the catch is that it will take longer to grow because we are so determined to keep Asshats away.

stratics doesn't have the people moderating that UOForums...here things are much more civilized and I believe that if we DID have as many people as stratics we'd still be better, 'cause we don't put up with all that stuff.

The mindless arguments and the petty b.s. are exactly why I don't read stratics anymore....it's not worth the time or effort involved.

one other thing I would like to point out, the occasional post ranting about UHall isn't the same as almost every post turning into some complaint, !!!!!, flame, rant.. about a game we voluntarily play for fun. at least if you don't want to read our one lil post you don't have to... over there you can't read anything with out running into their BS..

I'll play the odds and remain mostly here. My blood pressure doesn't need to be raised unnecessarily the way it gets when I read Stratics much. I'm sorry, but it really looks like sometimes they are competing to see who can insult who faster and harder.

My fellow LS'er, the blood pressure does tend to rise when attempting to read anything other than Dev posts "over there" for me also. I don't know why, but the large amount of posts containing "!!!!" and similar, just to get a +1, irks me incredibly - all it does is bump what would have been trash to the top, and squish down the good suff that makes an appearance or two.

I risk sounding like a 'yes man' but yes... It certainly clogs up the info and makes for time wasting.

You get one post, then 20 replies with "!!!!!!!!!", it's pathetic.

It's stratics' fault though, people break the rules there on a daily....hell....an HOURLY basis, yet nothing is done
Yet you have some moderators who punish others who break a rule once a year purely because they dont' like that person.

there does seem to be a lot of favoritism there.
