Actually I do agree with this after all after reading the clarifications. What I originally meant was that it's too difficult already to get anything worth getting from BODs, namely the higher end stuff, since the lesser rewards are useless.

Now, if we'd redo the whole reward table so that lesser stuff also is worth getting, then by all means make it really rare to get the BEST stuff.

Weapon bods just need to be dumped altogether, or at least once you reach GM skill.

That brings us right back to the issue of crafters not being able to make items as desirable as the 'arties' that everyone and his/her cousin is using and wearing. No one buys crafted armor or weapons. I have seen crafters routinely drop off fine armor on the ground in Haven for players to grab... they are picked over and many left lying there to decay. No one even picks them up to sell to the armorer for gold.

When I started playing, it was a major goal to buy GM weaponry and armor. People were happy when some generous newly GMd Smith or Tailor made them up a set of armor for just the leather that the person brought. Heck, some even provided the metal or leather themselves just to celebrate their "Mark" being newly acquired. You don't see that happen anymore.

I don't have a big beef about the arties. I do think they are becoming way too common tho. And the minor arties? You can barely give those away.

Oh, and as far as having something to show you play uo.... a buddy of mine has a very small uo symbol tattoo!

Maybe a reward that would allow a crafter to make minor arties, for example a Legendary Smith or Tailor making a set of Armour that could make you disapear for a few minutes.

Yeah but that's still in-game stuff, as well as being more artifact/equipment/item property content. The last thing I want as an in-game reward is something combat related...

I want the stuffed mongbat! Or a real life snowglobe of Castle Britannia! I want my schwag!

Blastphemy.... No combat items!! Everything supports combat in UO.

Just thought of a real life bronze cloak but then figured it'd be kinds heavy to lug around...

But! EA could get off easy by sending us all a bucket and calling it a leather dye tub

The bucket is better than horse manure, and calling it "Darkmoor"

Or a rock and calling it a server birth rare, or a bit of coiled rope.
