I just completed a quest in heartwood and received a strongbox containing a bardiche with the following stats:

Spell Channelling
Defense Chance Increase 12%
Energy Resists 11%
AND
Hit Life Leech 71%

I thought the leech attributes maxed out at 50%?? It looks like a plain old weapon. Any thoughts on a 71% life leech bardiche?

I want to ask how that kind of weapon was obtained, haha. Is that kind of modifier generated based on your character's luck as loot on a monster or a random reward for a quest?

Also... anyone have anything higher than 200% to post? I'd like to see the coolest weapon anyone has in game, something with modifiers just so ridiculously high that you should be in vegas gambling with that luck and not in Sosaria.

I was temporarily blinded by the sight of a halberd. Now I must go stealthing for minotaur artifacts again.

p.s. - when I do the minotaur quest, at any point in the process, are the strongbox items checked against my luck or is that irrelevant to the rewards I receive?

They changed the way leeches work. They can go up to 100%, but they only leech something like up to 40% of the damage you cause. The % shown on weapons is the % of the 40% of the damage done.

Looks photoshopped to me. ;p The numbers in the 200 are slightly bigger than the 100% below. Not to mention the % signs are completely different.

Based on weapon base speed and SSI of the weapon now. There should be a range of 2%-100% overall. Bows are divided by 2, and cannot have higher than 50% leech. A 2s weapon such as a kryss should max out at 50% leech, while a 4s weapon should be capable of 100% leech. This set represents my theory (not 100% sure ;P) 100/(4/Base Speed) = Leech Cap (if bow, /2 as well):

Lycanthropy

When I use the Scepter of the Chief I leech mana every single hit. However, if the monster you are trying to leech from does not have mana, you might not leech any. It's great to use in combination with a super slayer weapon that has no mana leech.
