Re: Heritage Tokens? :(

What do you expect?

They have heard the cry and moans of the shiny, arti, trinket, collector for years and thats all they know most of the player base as. Which they are....

Forget better game play, just give us stuff to horde. The EM's coudlnt do a decent job because people just showed up for the next cool item to collect. Yeah, then when something like this happens they blame uo gods for that as well and the crys go out for new stuff not stuff that will flood the market and lower cost!

No! Heaven forbid you make it easier for the common uo'er to have some nice things. I mean really what do you expect? People whined that uo was outdated and boom KR hits and the cries of alarm can be heard galaxies away.

I think people should justy stfu and play the damn game or go play wow or some other eye candy and leave UO for the people that want to have fun and who dont worry about a friggin token.

Re: Heritage Tokens? :(

The firework wand DOES work in 2D, perhaps the difference is the effect (look) it gives off when done in the different clients.

I just keep reminding myself that they didn't have to do anything like giving us gifts or even say a Happy 10th Anniversary to their members ... (does notice Dev's and Community Rep didn't post on UOForums to wish us a Happy 10th but did elsewhere)

What I think would have been wonderful to receive as a 'thank you for supporting us' for 10 years ... To have had them fix at least 10 of the outstanding bugs ... I'm sure there are at least 10 bug fiixes that we have heard 'will be fixed', 'is being fixed', for the last 10 years...

Bottom line .. I thank them for giving me a 'token' of their appreciation that I have supported them .... gifts are just that .. gifts.

Your right they dont have to do anything for us just as we dont have to spend a dime on there product, but sence this is the real world if they wanna keep having jobs then they have to worry about keeping us happy atleast some of the time. I'm just like some of these other people UO has lost its magic. kill a balron or ancient wyrm for items... no way ur better off waiting till you get them handed to you. As for making these items non-Powderable if your that worried about their being way too many powerful items then just dont make the item at all, stop making this game item based... you can kill lizardmen for a week and most likely have a all 70's suit and godly wep/shield. Stop spending time making overpowdered items and use that time running events... at events a huge boss comes and people die alot but their is something about all that thats really fun.

I totally agree, I'd take any kind of event over new uber items any day. The only item that I may attempt to get is the map, because thats nifty deco!

Re: Heritage Tokens? :(

I have tokens in a box from two years ago.... I don't ever use them all. I should just do as my daughter said and throw them in an InstaTrash can so they won't clutter up the world, mess up economy and fill up my already full house. I am a 'keeper' though and it's like pulling teeth for me to throw out things that are still 'maybe' valuable. I have gift boxes of things I will never use.. EVER and I know I won't. Maybe I will go toss them out tonight and get my 100+ storages slots back that they occupy.

I just get sadder and sadder, knowing UO will not be the game I want to play anymore the way it is headed. I keep thinking I will just load up all my characters bank accounts and pockets and let the house fall.... Not yet though.. the auto pay went through for 6 months on my daughter's paypal.. so we have that long to decide now.....

Sounds like myself in RL.

I'm currently in the process of turning that around though, I've come to the conclusion that less really is more.

Yeah, I'm hoping a bit more goes on, but I do appreciate the heritage tokens. You can go thru 10 -15 of them decorating a house. It's a pretty big collection to choose thru.

All it does is shoots a magic arrow in a random direction up. There is no sparkle graphic to indicate a firework.
