You might want to edit your user account name out of your post - it's unchangeable and can help make you an easier hacking target! Keep that username (along with your password) private if possible.

I didn't think it was possible to use a free trial code on an existing account. Did you ever have more than one account? I don't think they delete characters (a friend of mine just reactivated his account, which has been dormant since 2002, and all of his characters were still there). You might want to call customer support and talk to them. My friend spent a couple days back and forth on the phone with them, trying to verify his identity and whatnot, but it was worth the effort in not having to re-train all of his characters.

I was just curious, where did ya go to get this 14 day code?

When the window originally appeared to insert an upgrade code I never had, above this window was a small message from EA saying, if you dont have a code, why not try our 14 day trial using the following code:
