Hey all, I played UO very briefly (a week or so) in 2000 and have recently re-activated my account and i cant log in and my account says no game is registered. I have 2 old The 2nd Age Discs (only 1 used to make this account) and a Renassiance disc, these are brand new except 1 of the T2As and it wont accept the keys from them, long story short i cant log in or anything. What can I do? I'd imagine since Im re-activating I would have been able to play right away.

I'd imagine those old expansions aren't valid for registration anymore as there's been so much patching up that you couldn't play with that old client anyway without patching tons upon tons of new stuff.

You could try and contact customer support of course, by phone or using the Ask a question -thingie on uo.com... but the easiest way around it would be to just buy a more recent version of the game. That way you save yourself the trouble of downloading a new client or patching an old one up to speed.

Not to mention with only a Renaissance registration you won't have access to like half of the current game's content.

well i reactivated my account and didn't have a disk so i downloaded the age of shadows client (which is free), reactivated and then upgraded to mordains legacy

Thanks for the replys. While I've never seen this before with other mmos, being able to re-subscribe would mean I have bought UO in the past, I should be able to play right away I though, its worked that way in other MMOs I've played. However finding a Retail Ultima Online copy is rather difficut, I have pre ordered the 9th Age but that apparently isnt coming out till the End of October, so in the meantime I would like to be be able to play UO even if its bare due to lack of all the expansions. I mean I did get charged $12.99 when i Re-subscribed.

Hopefully EA Support can resolve this, i mean its not giving me a good impression, Im the advanced scout for a guild and my friends are looking to my impression of UO whether to come on over or not.

I would do what Cybercossack suggested and d/l Aos free and then upgrade with the 9th Age when it comes out next month.

What was the $12.99 for when you reactivated?

edit: if you are "reactivating" your account, go to https://account.ea.com/myacct/uo/uo-hub.jsp?skin=uo, type in ur username, pw, and reactivate it. They aren't going to give you any free time to play a reactivated account, cause your forfeited that when you cancelled your account initially. You can get a new 14 day trail account just by signing up a new account.

Thanks, no PvP. Hehe We hate PVP, actually I cancelled only after a week orignally because of the Rampart PVP. Somehow I dont think Lord British had a bunch of ub3r d00ds griefing RPers in mind when he invented Ultima, thankfully I've been assured theres no Free For All PVP.

As for what I got charged 12.99 for when I re-subcribed? I have no clue, I though it was to re-activate my account, it did but oddly it re-actived (Active Status) without the ability to play anything. Just bad luck i suppose.

Personally, I've been bored of Wow, After you get to 60 all there is to do is raid the same dungoens millions of times until you get epics then repeat the process for the next tiers. Seems pretty lame. Im hoping that doesnt happen here right? I mean it looks like alot of lands to explore and quests to undertake, which is what im looking for.
