Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to the game, and this is my first post. Not much to say about me atm, still pretty much a newbie - but I do have a BIG problem.
My house has disappeared.!!! I am pretty sure I remember where I left it, and now it's gone. It was just south of the Yew Moongate on the Oceania shard. Has there been an earthquake there or something. Seems to be a lot less houses and a lot of piles of dirt.
If someone can tell me what's happened, or suggest some of the basic mistakes I may have made. I would be eternally grateful.

Did you cancel your subscription for any length of time? That is the only thing I can think of. If your subscription is unpaid for 30 days I believe your house decays and collapses. Or if you own two houses on the same account, the first will decay.

There looks to be a lot of piles of dirt where houses used to be. I had to build mine quite a way from the gate, but now there seems to be lots of room.

Ah, ha! Got it. I didn't realise that the Trammel and Felucca moongates were entirely different places. Now I'm very confused, but at least I've got my house back - so I can make a nice cup of tea, sit back and be confused in peace.

When you collapse a house there usual is not piles of dirt near by. Wherever you placed the house would require a clean area, free of rocks, patches of dirt, flowers etc. Those dirt patches sound like treasure spot areas and i'm fairly certain you can't place around those.. Are you sure your at the right area? Did you have a rune marked to your house? Are you sharing your account? If so and some one is playing on your shard or another... it would cause the house to decay. The only other thing I can think of is you re-designed your house and demolished it. I'm fairly sure though you'd remember doing that as all your goods would have piled on top of you while your house disappeared. Those are the only things I can think of atm. I'm not actively playing UO and I haven't heard of any house bugs like this.

If you run around and still can't find it. I would call a GM and ask them to help you locate it. Hopefully they will be of assistance.

LOL - OH! Well that explains it! I would ask some one to mark a rune for you and get a rune book so you don't lose it again! UO is very confusing at first but once you get the hang of it, you'll be hooked!

I've already lost one full chest of stuff cause I forgot to lock it down and it decayed. Think I might give up this house owning lark, lol.

you are very lucky you were able to travel so far into Fel Yew without getting killed either. On alot of shards, Yew gate is the hangout for yewbies to fight and chase eachother around.

what shard do you play on? if it is Europa i can make you a runebook and rune for you house, then you can recall there with scrolls and never loose your house again
