Have KR GFX & Performance Issues On Vista? Possible Fixes Here.

Are you having crashing and/or graphics issues Ultima Online: Kingdom Reborn on Windows Vista? It is possible that some of those problems may not all be the fault of UO:KR, but rather some lingering issues with Vista.

Yesterday ExtremeTech published "Four Must-Have Vista Updates" (by Jason Cross) detailing many Vista issues (including gaming, performance, and video) that have been addressed in four Vista updates that will be included in the recently announced upcoming Vista Service Pack 1 beta (SP1 isn't due for open publish to users till possibly November).

However the Vista updates are available now...

By the way, here's another hotfix report...

Turns out that Jason Cross of ExtremeTech is reporting another released hotfix for the Vista GUI (graphical user interface). If you are experiencing any of the following:
After a Windows Vista-based computer has been running for an extended period of time, the desktop screen may stop updating correctly.

Parts of the screen may go black.
Parts of the screen may become transparent.
The toolbar may disappear.
The toolbar may appear at the top of the screen instead of at the bottom of the screen.

You may want to install Microsoft Knowledge Base Hotfix 932406. Even without these issue, it would be good to be up to date on the latest hotfixes.
