The latest patch gives me the hope that i can continue to enjoy UO once KR is alive. To be able to use the Legacy art is a decision i am very happy with I shall continue to play with the old/current client tho untill otherwise.

I've been happy with KR before the patch and am happy with the changes they made - so I can't really participate in this poll...
But I think KR gets more and more an alternitive even for the hardcore 2d fans.

Mostly it was great news - the game runs faster, most of the graphics look nicer (when you have all the 'legacy' modes on), and I can see me getting used to playing this release of KR, unlikethe horros of the earlier versions.

Only reason I can't say more about it is I can't actually play it right now - my internet access box died last night, and until Monday all I can use is my old dial-up, which really can't cope at all. From Monday (assuming the new box arrives as promised!) I plan a day or two of KR to learn how it works properly....

I thought KR was good before the patch but its even better now. Much faster, uber container graphics and more user options

It lags so bad after a little movement that I did not even bother to figure out how to turn on the legacy thingie.

WOOT< they added 40 icons to the radar map. Too bad I still cant log all the TMAP spots. Or navigate around terrain with it. Or distinguish anything.

It's been three days and I"m still patching. *sighs* Oh, well, my own fault for not paying the DSL bill when I had the chance. I got home and I had nearly 308mb of the patch downloaded before my connection disconnected itself. So I'll go to bed and see if its patched in the morning. Hopefully then I can play...

Wait a minute, did I say 308mb? That's a lot of info. Is the average patch that big for the 2D client or more?

I like the GUI better in KR, but I cannot play KR on my Linux/CrossOver, so I'm stuck on 2D there (at least for now!)
I have a 2.4 P4 with a NVidia 6600 card... Before the nVidia card the onboard Intel (with shared (*ew*) videoram) just couldn't cope... A decent graphics card makes a whole lotta difference!

I like the auto targetting system! Spells now default to current target, which saves me a lot of clicking!

Of course, it still needs a lot of work too! (If I tell the crafting interface to make as much as possible with the resources, I expect it to continue until the resources are used up! Not stop at the very first failure!)

Well I still dont know how you guys that say KR is "gold" are doing it. I try it out after every patch and yet still have the same problems, lag not really an issue for me but drag and drop sux, memory usage"bleed" still causes client to crash after about 10 min of standing still in my house, I havent even begun to want to try to fight anything. And wasnt this system designed with the "old" spec requirements in mind? I have a pretty awesome system at home with the only upgrade left really for me is going from 1gig of Ram higher and yet still cant get it to work for ****! Whereas my POS computer at work will push 2D without any lag and it has an integrated vid card on a pentium 2 system with 256mb of RAM! So go figure!
