Napa doesn't offend... just very... what's the word... dead. Everyone I ever knew or played with has either quit or moved on to a different shard. Luna people either don't stock the vendors or don't place them. What's the point of having a big Luna house if you don't use it? What's the point of keeping vendors if you don't stock them. Plus, I don't believe in the outrageous pricing on most items sold there nor the 50K rental week for vendors. (10K for the ones who do not contact you back.) This house puts me in the field for better pricing period.... especially with a dwindling population and hoard guilds... no names but you know who you are :grin:

I understand that completely. We seem to have more of a "Luna problem" than many other shards. It was one of the reasons why I started the Trammel/Felucca vendor rune library network but fell short of keeping it up to date. I'll never give up on Napa, though. My guild and two other RP guilds just recently came under an alliance, which is a great positive. No grandiose plans of "rebuilding community, rebuilding RP" like we'vew all gotten tired of hearing some certain people say, but it's going to allow us to kinda pool resources, pool interests, put on some events...et cetera.

Other shards are other shards. This one is my home. My character fought beside Lord British on this shard. Nothing's worth giving that up for. *grins*

Yes, I hear you there. I am just a little miffed that everyone left me... lol. No, I remember going to Castle British to listen to Lord British and the fools that went with me used to slam the castle doors on people that were coming in... lol... the days!

I look forward to hearing more from you and those guilds on the shard though. I'll keep my eye on you all and an ear to the ground because anything moving in a positive direction will only make Napa better.

My stay on Napa was a long time ago. I remember it as being a hub for PvP, and learning from a player named Kaine. Kaine had given me my first home in UO as well. A small 4x4 dirt plot with some chests in that gargoyle, reaper infested forest outside Umbra. I still haven't gotten very far from the dirt plot and chests. Sorry to hear it is no longer what it once was, but I do commend everyone on trying to make the best of the situation.
