Golem Training
What does my fencing skill have to be before training on a golem?

Re: Golem Training
If the golem is GM made, I usually figure on 80ish in both the weapons skill and tactics to gain in both. You can use jewels to get you up to that level and then take them off as your skill increases.

Re: Golem Training
Do you need to be in town or out of town? Guilded or not guilded? I did this training trick years ago but I think something has changed. I tried it the other day and when I was out of town I was doing small amounts of damage to my golem but gaining skills quickly. When I take him into city limits, no damage to golem but no gains either so I am not sure I am doing everything correctly.

Re: Golem Training
Unguilded and out of guard zone is the way I do it. If you're guilded you will take damage.

Re: Golem Training
You only take damage once when you're guilded. Just make sure to tell the golem to guard you. Also if you completed the spellweaving quest, even when you have 0 weave, you can cast renewal on golem so it'll heal itself.

Re: Golem Training
I've said this already for Satyr training, but it applies here as well:
Soulstones are your friend. Stone off as many skills as you can to get a faster gain rate. My favorite technique is to train on a newbie character with around 100 points + the skill I want to train. Keep it under 200 and you'll gain faster. ~M |
