Re: Getting back into UO

Makes sense now, and I'll certainly take your advice and try the 15 day trial though I'm not sure how UO could have been ruined. Currently I play WoW and EQ2 so I'm used to crap lol. Those two are based on graphics, with little to the gameplay. I miss the diversity and open endedness, and customization of UO. (played back in 98).

I've lost my origional UO discs, so I will need to get new ones. Just unsure of what ones to get. Thanks in advance for the help!
Back to your original message... just want to 'clarify' that if you purchase the 8th age disc, it does not include all the expansions...
Mondain's Legacy is not included on that disc for some reason... ML boxed version is better and the ML version adds a lot of new and challenging stuff that will, as it was put previously, shock you, LOL.
The trial version is a good idea so you can see how it compares to what your used to.
Good Luck and let us know what shard your starting on if you do come back, sure there are several including myself who would assist.

Thanks for the input Lynn, and the offer for help! It's very much appreciated. Guess it's going to take a while to get used to so much hospitality again lol

I'm a lil late with the reply and all.. but a lot of vets aren't really happy with the direction of the game. I personally (played on and off since '97) don't mind it at all. sure there are a few things that need to be tweeked and fixed, but with a game this old thats going to happen.

I hope you enjoy the game, even with all the changes

I've never figured out how to be gracefully humble without appearing weak.

Nor have I figured out how to be gracefully passionate without appearing arrogant.

In the end, I always seem to be arrogant and weak instead of humbly passionate.

Re: Getting back into UO

oh, and also, if you had an account before you should go to https://account.ea.com/myacct/uo/uo-hub.jsp?skin=uo and see if you can reactivate your old account..

depending on the condition of the account the chars might not be there any more. but UO gives perks for the age of the account.. so if your going to start from scratch with a new account you might as well get teh perks from you old account

good luck
