Gardening

Anyone got an easy to understand guide to gardening? We've decided to try growing some plants to get orange petals.

Some friends have graciously provided us with the orange seeds, but I might end up killing them, the way I do my rl plants

Re: Gardening

I have killed my plants of a few times trying to get it right. I finally got some growing! What I did was...

-Water the flower pot twice, plant the seed (longs your pot says "soft dirt" it is a blanced condition, not to soggy not to dry.)
-Add 1 greater strength and 1 greater healing potions to it and it has been growing VERY well without any problems yet and I am up to the 4th rank.

And I check everyday on my plant to make sure it gots enough water and potions. I am sure there is away to do it without potions but this has been working for me so I am sticking to it!

And UOStratics has a very nice little Plant Growing thingy so if you want to go check that out at this here link

Re: Gardening

The important thing to remember in caring for plants is not overwatering and not using too many potions. The plant menu tells you via the - and + signs how many of each you need. The only potions that you can use as many as you like are the Greater Strength potions, they don't hurt anything.

Re: Gardening

I've used the Celtic Moon site forever. I don't know much about the Tower of Roses one, mainly because once I get comfortable with a set-up, I rarely change to another. (set in my ways for sure)

I've been growing plants since the first week they came into existance. Not thrilled with some of the 'look' of the plants or all of the colors... two toned plants would be so wonderful. That's probably why people prefer the 'plain' seeds, at least the definition of the leaves and flowers are clear and not just a solid mass of color.

Re: Gardening

The plain plants are the best in my opinion... they are so natural looking.

Remembering to check the plants and water them daily plus any other required potions is a big thing. Miss one day and they may make it, generally requiring double the care, miss more than one day and they become dry sticks. To get the petals and/or seeds takes about twice the time and they still require the care.

Good Luck
