So I will obviously continue to grab good footage of the event as much as I possibly can but would anyone like to see anything else?

I was trying to think of different things I could take video of but I really didn't have many good ideas.

So far the only things I can think of that would make good videos are:

1. Historical locations around different shards

and

2. Museums around various shards

Anyone else have any ideas what might be cool to have some video of?

You could do some kind of tutorial videos for young or returning players.
Things like really simply HowTo's (How do I work skills, where can I buy what, what are the differences between the facets) for the younglings and a bit more advanced stuff for returning vets (peerless key gathering, Doom fighting tactics, etc.).

I had actually thought about that but the biggest reason I was partially against it is because videos are large in size and does anyone want to wait around downloading a video when they can easily grab the information from a webpage already covering how to do those things.

But that does not mean I wouldn't make some tutorials if I thought they would help some people out.

I think it's a difference if you have to read through a lot of post and try to understand or if you can simply watch it...

For people with lesser bandwidth you could post them on youtube or something similar and let them decide if they want to wait for the high quality download video or have the faster, but uglier youtube vid.
Well, and for those who don't have a fast enough connection for youtube... I'm not sure if the should try to play UO anyway.

Yeah I keep trying to believe that in today's world most people have high speed internet but there are still lots of places you can't get anything more than dial-up connections. Hell if you go about 4 miles out of town in one direction from where I am you cannot get cable at all no DSL for some reason either and the only other option is satellite which we all know is garbage.

Then again I did manage to compress 256mb of video into a 36mb rar this morning when I did up the Kealdia and Valvakka videos.

I upgraded to SnagIt 9 yesterday and the video quality is a little lower on the video I take now but barely noticeable if at all. But the compression when I zip the video is amazing. So the quality to compression ratio is much much better.

Anyhow kinda got off track I may do some tutorials after all then I will just have to decide what to cover with them.
