Former player making a return.

I just ordered the 9th Ann. Collection version and should get it in a day or two.

Was wondering what would be a good server to start on now? I am about a 50/50 solo person and would want a server that has some people on it.

Is Trammel still around? I always hated getting ganked.

I have other questions but will wait to play so I can make them more clear.

i play on atlantic most of the time and you can always find ppl to hang with. trammel is still around...for better or worse...

Where are you located? That will make the biggest difference in which shard to pick.

I am on the East Coast. I played on Catskills when I was active.

Catskills is a good shard to be on. It's not as populated at Atlantic (the busiest US shard), so it's easier to find housing. The people are friendlier than Atlantic, for the most part. A lot of UO Forums members seem to be Cats players, too, including myself.

Trammel still exists, and most players spend most of their time there. There are new lands also (Malas, Ilshenar and the Tokuno Islands), all of which have the Trammel ruleset, so no murderers or PK's will bother you.

Sonoma is a great shard too. Just enough people if you want people to play with but not overcrowded. Oh and Queen Mum puts together some fabulous and truly fun events! There are plenty of places to put a house, even a large one and the majority of the people I've come in contact with love to help new and returning players

I am not much of a roleplayer...

I played for a couple hours today and everything feels so different. Not quite what I remember. The areas I found with good spawns ( graveyards basicly ) had decent gains but everything died to quickly to even notice I was even in a fight.

Will see what happens in a few days.

Oh.. Is there a guild chat option and if so how can I turn it on?
