wrestling...

I trained it up to 90 a while back for use on a cramped template, then decided to work it again so I could atleast stone like 110, but then they changed the unarmed female NPC gain way, and now its at 90.3. I

Re: First Skill you ever gave up on GM'ing?

That would be music/provocation. I made a character I initially thought would become a bard, then realized how mind-numbing the training was and not remotely enjoyable, so I changed the char to be a miner/smith/carpenter/chef. Hehe.

Now his story is that he always wanted to be a bard but was too tone-deaf so he ended up following in his father's footsteps and being a crafter type. He still sings and plays the lute all alone in the woods sometimes, you can tell he's there by the fleeing animals.

Re: First Skill you ever gave up on GM'ing?

Taming would be the big one I gave up on. I was very motivated to work a tamer/mage, but it was during a period of the repeated and massive time warps day after day, week after week, losing multiple hours and sometimes entire days of work regularly.

Working those skills over and over and over again demoralized me to the point I never had it in me again to work like I originally had wanted.

Another one I worked for a while but gave up on was enticement, but mostly I gave up because it was boring.

Re: First Skill you ever gave up on GM'ing?

The very first skill I gave up GMing on would be Item Identification. Back when it was usefull to have, but after I figured out that if you just keep using the skill enough you get your identification. The second skill I gave up on GM'ing was Begging. It was fun for the first day or two, but after that you get the same messages and same loot equivalent to a headless. Honourable mention goes to Enticement. I starting making a bard when I heard the NerfCrys when publish 16 was aproching way back when and started training all barding skills I could find. I might have gotten it up higher then like the 60s I had it at, but the skill went away and changed to Discord now. At the time, I didn't like Discord so I made room for other skills. I am pleased to say I have a wonderful bard on Lake Superior now named BioHazzarD that is as musical as can be (minus +5 on music skill)
