Is there anyway for you to say farm flax? and sheep pens what are they, i mean can i build/buy one or are they set out? if so where, i gots my some sheeps to kill ^^ also, my role playing character is in a guild. but i was wondering how would i get my crafter in a say crafters guild? i got in the role playing character via a friend.

Hullo again Kysrian. Some good questions here.

1) Players cannot own /operate farms (boo!). Farms, corrals, etc, are static pieces around which spawn sheep and other barnyard friends.

2) Flax is picked from several places in game, always in a patch of tilled earth (looks like a farm). A good place is around brit and moonglow.

3) for a crafters guild, you will have to again rely on your in game networks to find one. Which shard are you on? We should have some players there that are aware of crafter guilds. Your RP guild may also welcome a crafter.

Hmmm you're wanting to know where to find sheep...the person to be asking would be DiP, for he has satellite imagery of every farm in Sosaria and beyond...not to mention he has GPS tracking on all sheeps within a world wide radius O.o

... and is engaged to most of em.

Forgot to mention, it is FAR better to shear sheep FIRST, then kill em. THe wool (white) then stack. If you kill then get wool, you get individual black balls that do not stack, and are a pain to turn into thread /bolts

hmmm, how/what would i need to sheer a sheep, obviously i will have to go find them, thanx for the tips. i am sure dip won't mind me sorting out a few of the older sheep so that he can have a few younger models.

The three BEST places (i know of) for sheep are:
Yew
Delucia
Jhelom bull pens.

You will most likely have to ask for help in getting there, unless you have UO Auto Map.

To shear sheep, use scissors on them. you do NOT have to kill them, they will grow the wool back in about 15 minutes. Some people advocate killing them to get them to spawn faster.

On your tailor, I would suggest trying to find a cheap tailoring powerscroll. 110 or 115 would be great for now. The tailor guide on this forum is built to take these to the best effect, which will allow you to gain for fewer materials.

I beg to differ. I have NO problems getting the black balls to stack. None. I always kill the sheep then shear and have yet to have a problem doing so.

If you shear them before you kill them, don't you get two balls of wool? And if you kill then shear, you only get one?

It's been so long since I've done it I forgot.
