Of Exceptional Quality

I was cleaning house earlier and I saw this. It was left by the former houseowner. I just thought it looks weird, that's it's not labeled a wooden chest. Does this happen frequently when crafting them?

Thats an "Old School Crafted Item." You can't make them anymore, and sometimes ppl try to sell them as rares.

Oh... Hehe exactly what my bf said. I thought he was joking, cause he doesn't really do a lot of crafting.

If memory serves right ... it changed right before SE came out ...
so it isn't that rare yet but hold on to it .. the more publishes and expansions they give us the rarer they become.

Before that change was the label ... An or A ______ of Exceptional Quality
then Before that change was the label .... An or A ______ [Exceptional] as well as
An or A ______ [blessed] and might be double blessed (second line showing an additional bless)
Example: A Featherd Hat of Exceptional Quality [blessed]
..... Exceptional ...... Blessed

Then we have Crafted by and Sewn by items (those are most rare)
as well as A or An green _____

and also there are the bone items that retained the color of the leather
example .. a spine bone helmet is blue ....

Fascinating how things change ...
I'm sure there are collectors here that can help explain it far better than I just did and ...
maybe have a timeline of when these things happened.

I bought a set of female plate several months ago because it said the 'of exceptional quality' with a crafter name... plus the other exceptional notice... what I failed to notice until this week was that it also is bronze color but with no ore name.. which could be a dye job I guess, BUT the Norse Helm... is spelled "Nose" Helm. Also the Female Plate doesn't say Female Plate.. it says Chest.... if I remember correctly, they don't say 'chest' now....
