Excellent turn of events

So I realized I did not have the best version of the game since I downloaded the client with the free trial. Rascal and others informed me that the 9th anniv. edition was the way to go so my plan was to come home today and make the long drive from my place to Fry's Electronics to pick up a copy.

On a personal side note, yesterday was the 2 year anniversary for my girlfriend and I (hurray!) she hasn't graduated from college yet so until May we are long distance (hence why I was playing UO last night).

In any case she keeps calling me asking if I've checked my mail and when I finally get home I'm kind of excited to see what it is...and it turns out to be a Gamestop Gift Card! I called around and there was a Gamestop about 3 miles from my place that has 5 copies of 9th Anniv. Ed. So now I get the game for free! Man what a great day.

I've also been stuck using my laptop (which is pretty crappy and I only have it because it's mandated by my school to have one) because my desktop came down with something nasty and wouldnt boot into Windows. So I grabbed a copy of Windows from the bookstore today and it appears my C drive had corrupted or something or other. So once Windows is reinstalled I'll be gaming in fine form.

Sorry for the random rant but I thought I'd share some good points of what's going on for the moment.

Happy Anniversary! Rememember a couple that games together, stays together!

I liked Buddy's use of the word fortuitous. That should be a word of the day!

My guy tries to understand my needs for UO, though he has no choice as I talk about it so much to him. He likes playing on the PS2 and we plan to buy a Wii to play on as soon as they're more available and we got the money for one.

Made me wonder about getting the 9th anniversary one now. hehe.
