It just seems to me that the roleplaying community are getting desperate, the reason for this is it's getting split too much into new guilds that will probably go nowhere unfortunately. A few guilds that started recently for example:

Magincia
Orcs
Knights Of The Coin

Those are just some of the popular new ones but everyday someone else is making a new guild thinking it's a great idea where in reality it's been done before OVER 9000!! times and it's just going to fail, But it's splitting the RP community apart.

I would also like to add that I agree, most guilds are quick to jump in (especially RP guilds) To get new members. But I have never done this - You should just refer the player to the guilds page and say hey look heres a list of guilds if your intrested They are roleplay though if you would be intrested. Then the person can have a look through and a read to see what they think, Not making any referance to one guild in particular.

I never said any of those guilds are going to fail, I was simply pointing out some of the newer guilds that may fail, and have been done before.

So I said "IF" and I also mentioned pvm and pvp guilds also and asked for more information to help the person on their way. I was just offering help and have NEVER tried to get new players to join any of the guilds I have been in.

If you are going to quote me please dont twist my words or take them out of context.

Indeed, the operative word in that other thread was "IF". No one told the person they MUST play with an RP guild or sod them.

We are quick to suggest our guilds because in our opinion, they are the best and offer the richest UO experience; if you are into roleplaying. If not, fine, there are a million OOC, Peerless hunting guilds that are all the same. Just hang around Britain for 2 seconds and you'll see 20.

To me, it's almost a non-question to ask if there are any guilds on Europa unless you are looking for the best RP guilds. Just log on and you'll see normal guilds all over the place. So when someone asks that question, I think most of the community assume they are looking for something different than the standard UO guild.
