Haven't had much in-game time over the last week or so and I'm only now just d/l the last patch. It's taking awhile, but I'm hopeful of discovering the good stuff you've reported. That it's a huge patch is actually encouraging lol.

Many of the bugs I've reported are now showing in the list and that's certainly heartening. I feel as though I've been heard, and that's important.

I agree. I was able to play KR for MUCH longer than I have ever been able to last night!

They do listen....

-Option for legacy chat
-Option for legacy keys
-Female paperdoll will be changed
-Brightness (a gamma slider will be added)
-Right click to close windows (not 100% how some would like it)

And maybe a few others i forgot!

ive been able to play KR 5 hours straigh and stopped only cause i was tired , the client is much more stable than before, no more crashs , and now i can tell people to try it , its playable. The only big problem i encounter now is the mouse cursor disapearing , i never noticed it before , but i wasnt able to play KR that long before.

Just wanted to add somewhere that video card turns out to make a huge difference in the play experience. My old card was scraping the bottom of the minimum requirements and the poor machine would regularly just lock up in near-death (the New Haven Moongate area was my test zone for performance). Put in a new card this weekend and suddenly *poof* I can see the game.

( I feel like I can start testing for real now )

I like KRB, just have to relearn how to play UO all over again..

I never learned how to do macros in 2d, now I have that and more to learn in this version...

But I love the eye candy... waterfalls in houses, etc...

Ya know, it's funny - I've been around UO since November 1997. This was when the question wasn't if Atlantic was going to crash, but WHEN, EACH DAY. And even all those years ago, people were complaining right here on Stratics (I had a different Stratics account then that got deleted by accident a few years ago), threatening to quit, pouting like two-year olds. And back then, I would post "hey - this is ground breaking stuff! Give them a chance to work the kinks out!"

I find it amusing that 10 years later, we still have BMWs (Bitchers, Moaners, and whinners).

To those who say they hate the game, LEAVE! You have many more options than 10 years ago. So go find something else to play. If you want to stay and want things to be better, give constructive critisism and suggestions. That is what has made UO last for 10 years and be better than ever.

I wish I could find my original post almost 10 years ago about this issue. It said something like this to the Devs:

Thank you for all of your hard work over the years. It's because of your passion and dedication that I choose to spend my "down time" in Britannia.

I want to thank you guys for all the positive comments in this thread. It really is nice to hear that existing players are starting to feel like this is a client that they can play and love. A lot of hard work has gone into making this client both intuitive for new players and yet accessible to the existing player base. Your feedback has and will continue to be an integral part of this process.

I want to encourage everyone to use the feedback system that EA Mythic has set up for your suggestions. This is the only guaranteed way to make sure that your feedback gets into the hands of us developers. Keep up the good work guys! You got to hand it to the development team. What they’ve achieved in the time frame they’ve had from KR’s conception to where we are now is a pretty good achievement. Working with the old 2D client code couldn’t have been an easy task. Good thing they had that one development team member that has been on the UO team right from start of UO who could point out where the land mines where.

It's great how they’re listening to feedback from players to get this client polished off to its full potential. Since the last patch the client seems very stable. The only CTD I’ve had is when I’ve opened a book on the ground and tried to turn the page. It’s repeatable bug which I'm sure will be fixed in the near future. I played an hour of 2D today then an hour of KR, and all though I’ll always have my found memories of the 2d client I prefer the KR client and it’s only going to get better. Now if only they’d listen to my feedback about making the sea water more animated and no so dark blue I’ll be over the moon!

I agree, I think they're fixing and adding alot of requested stuff, which is great.
