My only guess as to why the armor has such startlingly poor qualities - maybe they Nerfed to it so much becasue they wanted to temporarily discourage folks from using it because it had only temporary 'shared' art. It would be one way to get it outta sight for a while.

But thats just sheer speculation :grin: Your guess is as good as mine there.

Speaking of speculation - heh - i'm hoping that they'll tweak the armor stats up a bit to something respectable once we get around to focusing on improving the crafting system.

I think considering how difficult it is to craft, it should be boosted to a higher level than standard GM plate.

I to remember the special noise/animation that occured when you put the whole set on
Different colours had different bonuses, like green was poison resist? or something like that.

I remember the original armour also. as I recall it was nerfed because it was overpowering. this was a pre AOS thing so it was to powerful. however with recent changes in the game if it was returned to its original specs it would fit in nicely.

I had a set of early Dragon Armor too, and the 'sparkly' part was something I kept wondering 'where'd it go and why" about until now. Yes, it did boost similar to the 'sets' that are coming out now; IE when all parts were present they were greater than the individual parts totals in stats. Nice stuff. Ugly at the time, but nice stuff.
