Dragon Barding Deeds

A question raised by a member of the Guild I'm in........

Do Dragon Barding Deeds made from higher metals (Copper, Bronze etc.) give better protection to his mount more than Iron ones?

I don't know, I make 'em, but never had a Dragon to ride to find out.

Any one help?

Dragon Barding Deeds made of colored ore do nothing to improve the resistances or other properties normally associated with those metals. Dragon Barding gives a flat 10/20% damage absorb, and that is all. You will hear people claim that certain deed colors (usually DC or Shadow Iron) take longer to wear out than other deeds, but no documentation on Stratics has ever supported this.

Colored ore simply gives colored barding, period. Use what you can afford in accordance with your own tastes. I like Valorite when I have enough ingots to make it, and iron the rest of the time. Just be sure to get an Exceptional Quality deed for the maximum 20% damage absorb.

The great thing about making them colored is if you wear a Vet Robe/Cloak combo you can get barding to match it
