So... uh... the only way to download KR is through fileplanet? I really dislike that site... I don't want to pay for a subscription in order to try the *beta* version. Is there another way to download KR? If there isn't, Ill just wait for after the official release.

It's free from Fileplanet, you don't have to pay.

Although, I think you have to wait a bit longer than if you paid.

Europe is seeing a different page from the USA - it's posted somewhere else in the forum. I don't know why, but weird. Either way, you don't have to pay. I think you might have to register if you are in Europe tho.

happend to me too. Good luck, and don't be discouraged if you try to unzip the file and get told it's not the right file type. You'll have to try using different de-compressors.

And you do have to pay to use file planet now. It used to not be that way but there is no way around it now. Ive tried for over a week to download the UOKR and cant because I refuse to pay for their service

Have you tried installing the fielplanet download manager? That makes the whole process of using fileplanet so much better and sorts out the download screwing up issues some people get using the site. You just need register an account with fileplanet which is free to do. There's a link to the fileplanet download manager on the front page of fileplanet.

If you get a file is corrupt trying to unzip the client don’t’ worry the EA download manger can sort this problem out or you can use WinRaR which also get it unpacked.

When you try to register a new account, it forces you directly into a pay for file planet screen and gives you two levels of payment options. There is no way around it that I have been able to find. You have to pay them their money before they will let you download the download manager.

I was lucky enough to retrieve my old account and bypass that process last night.

European users don't have to pay for downloads - there is a link on that page to progress through without subscription, if you look carefully.

I had immense trouble downloading until I temporarily disabled my firewall, and restarted the download (via the Fileplanet Download Manager utility, also free to download). Everything was fine after that, although it took a while.

As an aside, I had to reinstall UO afterwards to enable me to play in 2d as well as KR, I don't know if that's a common problem.

Varygas can you take a screenshot of the page you are linked to ,because I have just checked again, and still only get a page where you have to choose a payment option before proceeding,if you arent registered.

The only way I got the files free was by downloading them from some one else.
