Doom Pet Question
What are the pros and cons of taking different pets into Doom? Doom is a newer venture for me, I did it with a warrior right at the start of AoS but never did it since. So basically, is one pet better than another in there? Should I take a Greater Dragon for one run, or take in my Cu and log out in the "safe" room and go for several days at it, or just go with the Classic Mare/WW combo?
I am slightly worried about the Impaler and their mortal wound and that most of the bosses tend to spam wither and target the tamer now. Is it worth it taking a Tamer in there, or should I try to focus on building an archer. |

Re: Doom Pet Question
Very popular on Lake Superior is the Greater Dragon. I have had the opportunity to join a group with two greaters in it, and the gauntlet falls very quickly. The tamers tend to stay near the pet and heal it, while the rest of us drop Word of Death and such on the baddies. I haven't seen much of anything else in Doom lately.

Re: Doom Pet Question
If you bring a tamer, plan to heal it from a distance. I routinely see 2xTamers and a couple folks healing the GDs and casting Meteor Swarm for spawn control and WOD for looting rights.
