So empty bottles cost more than a potion from a vendor?

That is illogical in every way.

I noticed that...and making them is very boring!

It is prolly cause they are more desirable then the lesser pots alchemists carry.

Try to sell the potions to the vendor :/ They want to give you 1/10th of what the bottle wouldve cost you had you not made it your self.

On a side note, you could always buy the alchemists out of potions, chug them all and sell them back the bottles Should net around 5 gp per. Not going to get you rich, but a great way for new player to cheaply build a nest egg...

Well, I'd figure that they're alchemists; their business is selling potions. If you buy their empty bottles, what will they put their elixirs in? Since this impacts their business, they charge you extra.

I mean, they have to pay the tinker for those bottles, you know.

empty bottle price skyrocketed when ML came out. There is a quest for 50 empty bottles in heartwood. Needless to say everyone went on a buying spree

You can get a good batch of bottles by killing Ettins in Despise, or Gazers in Covetous.

Empty bottles are crafted by GM Alchemists whove read the Glassblowing book. Maybe theyare trying to recoup thier losses on buying a 10k book? Or are the NPC miners charging ridiculous amounts for the sand that they dug up?

Ahh, that's right. Missed that question, as I was never interested in the ability to make bottles anyway. The alchemists are likely recouping on that book. Fine by me, I consider it my karma for having my mage wear an LRC suit. My alchy is the only reason I buy regs anymore, I may as well buy the bottles too.
