Does the KR client let you play 2d?

Question as per the title. I'm downloading the 14-day KR trial, but I don't actually want to play with the KR "enhancements."

No, you have to download 2d client...

Is there a location for a free download and are there trial account codes as well?

As a note, this free code does not get you Mondain's Legacy content.

It is not entirely true that it doesn't let you play 2d...

Just enable "legacy art" under the graphics options and most of the game will look like in 2d.
There an extra option for legacy container art, which I recommend along with a reduction of the UI-Size. The KR graphics ând UI are quite flexible.

I thought of mentioning that as well, but thought better of it because the OP stated he did not want the KR 'enhancements,' which I took to mean the interface more than the graphics.

I'd encourage the OP to download both clients and try it all out himself/herself.
