Do you think you'll switch to UOKR?

With UOKR going into public beta and coming nearer to it's official Gold release....here's the big question

Too early, too many issues, this should have stayed in closed beta for much longer.

Most likely I will give it a try when it gets generally released.

Much too early for me. Thank you for the poll Adam, was thinking about just such a thing last night.

To me, we, the player base, should be the FIRST consideration on going gold. Why?

1) We are the fiscal base on which this effort is built. Estrange us by using OUR money to deliver SUBSTANDARD products and they feel it in the pocketbook. A concept the producers have yet to be able to grasp, IMO.

2) We are also the most powerful marketing tool EA has for this game. Word of mouth is the most effective campaign there is. By letting everyone see it so early, EA has handicapped thier chances of success, even if they do the smart thing and delay gold release. What do you think the players are telling their friends, RIGHT NOW, about the new client? "Dewd, EA is so gonna eat it again. The new client is buggy, blurry, laggy, art is out of whack, macroes are not improved, the map is monchrome..." Of COURSE it is Beta, but will they communicate that? Bet not.

3) Open Beta phase is typically for polishing, not full blown development. The macro system, map system, and party/ guild systems are nascent at best. Not conducive to good first impressions, as these are essentials in the new client. First impressions are EVERYTHING, and this wide open beta leaves alot to be desired.

Will I try it? Of course. Will I like it? That is up to the Dev's and how much they listen. For now, I think the macro system alone is as limited as the 2D client, and leaves alot to be desired. It leaves you asking "Do they even know what we like to do with macro's?"

Unless they do a whole heck of a lot of polishing up, and make some things clearer on how to use them, and fix all these bugs...
I may be telling my beloved UO goodbye.

Right now tho I still hold out hope. It's still beta. They are working on it. It is just too early too tell. I wish they would have worked more on it tho before they took it to public beta.

As of right now, Im cautiously optimistic for KR. I think it has alot of potential to be a fantastic client, but its not there yet.

If I log in to "play" vs. "test" I still use 2d.

I just dont know for sure, I love uo but i cant go buy a whole new system just to play it. Even though i have the beta i cant play it on my system. Neither one of my computers. So right now i have to say 2d
