PK's had like 80 of each skill tops and could roam around in packs and gank EVERYONE.

If you stole someones house key they were screwed, you were then at their pad helping yourself to their stuff.

Their was a bug that you could mark a rune outside a locked house and when you recalled back to it, you would end up under the house and pop up inside. Hello free loot, lol.

When people paid money to have you dye their stuff black.

Blessed item deeds (I remember them, I had a blessed vanq. hehe)

The clean up brittania ticket system.

When wearing a valorite set of armor was both ostentatious and dumb, as you were about to get killed and looted.

When buying Valorite set of plate was expensive at 30k.

When Rat Valley actually had ratmen.

When Seers were involved in RolePlaying communities (For Catskills, think Kent's Last Pint, Shadowclan Orc Fort, Kinship)

When you had to spend 1/2 hour after each trip to the dungeon reviewing the 20 weapons you got, sitting there with your ID wand trying to see if anything was worth keeping.

I almost forgot

How about when wandering healers carried 400 gp, I bought my first house from "harvesting" healers in MG, that of course was LONG before they stopped carrying gold and starting casting flamestrike, lol.

How about if you had 500k YOU WERE RICH!

Now a days, you must have to have like 200 million to be rich.

How about when you went to Delucia, there was a 98% naked NPC called "a paladin" which had a viking sword and spell book, who'd attack anything with negative karma (people, monsters etc)?

*Bad memory* Id swear i once had my old guildstone on a boat.... Vaugely remember someone standing on a boat gating people to it with a couple of other boats around it.... Im sure we had a guildstone on the boat too heh.

I miss the paladins too! Those things always weirded me out. Fast, vicious beasts they were.

When placing a 7x7 was a dream come true.

When the game wasn't item based and skill was actually hard to get (yes, that is a barb at osi)

When fishing was pointless (I deleted my master fisherman once I realized that there was life outside of Britain.. only took me 2 months)

Fighting skeletons in deceit and a gate would open and 60 pks would pour out... I would just sit and laugh even though I was now seeing a grey screen.

Spending days on end trying to find matching peices of armor cause only NPCs could make colored armor and there were tons of hues.

I remember GM'ing swordsmanship then walking by a camp fire and camping going up and there went Yer GM swords. ah the good old days of yo-yo skills
