Hello everyone,
First time poster on these boards, I have been away from UO for a few years and just recently started playing again. I was wondering if there is a slayer instrument for Cu Sidhe? I have been having decent success peacing them with 120 peace and 110 music but I think a slayer instrument would help out a lot. I did some searches and came up with nothing so any help would be appreciated. :grin:

Sadly to say there is no slayer for the cu sidhe. The best you can do is get an exceptional instrument .

If your trying to tame them there are two effective methods:

Lead Taming, this is very hard to master, when it goes wrong death usually follows.

Invis Taming, this requires 2 people (1 mage, 1 tamer) What you do is select the skill animal taming. Then get your friend to invis you. Then click on the animal you wish to tame. No matter what the animal does, it won't attack you because it can't see you. If you successfully start to tame then step towards the animal. You need to stay at the most, one tile away from it at all times to tame it. Which is why lead taming is so hard, if its angered to you you've gotta walk in front of it. Staying the same distance away from it at all times. With invis taming you don't need to do anything but follow the animal closely. It'll never anger to you.

I assume you want this for taming, as opposed to killing.

It is indeed for taming :grin: I was able to get a nice dull-copper colored Cu with the help of my friend using peacing and healing a lot It worked ok but I am going to have to try that invis trick, someone mentioned using Paralyze and then the invis but I though using Paralyze hurt the stats badly after the tame was complete? I also had a fellow in game tell me Fey Slayers worked against Cu's but I have never seen a Fey Slayer instrument, do they exist?

Only Fey Slayer I know of is that Pixie Swatter weapon. I don't think any other weapon or instrument exists in Fey Slayers.

With that Para method I believe you have to have high eval or at least some eval? Someone confirm this please but i'm pretty sure with 0 eval if you cast para on a Cu then he's gonna sink his teeth into you. I only mention it because with your template not sure if you have eval.

The lead taming method is somewhat difficult at 1st but once you get it down you'll be ok. I died quite a bit when I 1st started doing it but I caught on thru trial and error.

One more question, if I have a spellbook equipped with the dragon slaying property will this aid my barding skills at all, or is it only for spell attacks?
