I wanted to put this into a skills thread but it slips through the categories as you can probably see by the title. I was doing my daily pop-fag-hunting guide routine on stratics and since I starting looking on there a few days ago I keep coming across a combo that seems very powerful. The Disco/Provo/Mage/Tamer, quite messed up eh?

I've seen other big nasty beasties with this written down as though its the holy grail of all builds. I can kinda guess that a +10(+) mage book would be needed and some jewelry but how is this build made to work? It's pretty point intensive build but what sort of temp would somebody be looking at?

I'm deciding whether to set my bard onto this build or not. So is it worth it and how does it work?

I have a similiar template (replace discord with peace). If you want to try soloing the high end mobs. You will have to have 120 in your music skills. That means you will have 360 skill points used for your barding skills. You will need to be at least GM in your taming skills to control and rezz. I believe you will need one or more above GM to control your high end pets. So that leaves less then 60 points for magery. I know you can have skill enhancement armour, jewelry and spell book. You need to know that you will not be able to use magery for much more then healing/curing. Also did you notice he said you had to hope for rotting corpses? You need to go to the guantlet some time. Just see all the things that can spawn from the "unholy bones" that the DF throws.

Anyway it is a great build. Just don't plan on soloing everything and if you do. Don't be surprised when you die a lot

Thanks It is a little point intense, I'll probably stick with spellweaving/bard then. I can make a tamer on another slot sometime. Plus I want my bard as a party animal So I want all 3 barding abilities and spell weaving can add an extra bit of flavour. The tamer/disco/prov is probably great but it seems a lot of hassle for what you get.

I love my bard/tamer. I just bring friends along to heal/rezz me and to loot for me
