I have been trying my hardest to get gains on a golem tonight and havent not gained one little bit. Did they finally do what they said they were going to and make it so you had to inflict actual damage in order to gain?

Yes you now must damage your target in order to gain.

I'm not aiming this at you Ameythyst in anyway.. but I just want to put out a big "HOOOWAHHH!"

I'm sooo tired of coming in to luna with a fortune in repair deeds to repair armor and weapons or to buy all new armor after spending hours getting gains fighting endless monsters in fel dungeons only to hear somebody cry out "Yes! I got GM Swords! I pwn!" surrounded by three or four golems and some buddies safely inside the city walls.

I know its a game mechanic and not an exploit..just always seemed kind of cheap to me.. :/

Oh I have no problem with getting my gains the normal way. Heck, right now sitting in the pits in Jehlom and going after the NPC's. I just didnt know if my game was messed up or what. I had heard they were going to nerf them, just didnt know if it was done already or not. I'm doing quite nicely here in the pits

I just 110-115 archery and it worked, seemed a bit slower but then again it's archery.

get some friends together and start a bone wall, in Deceit. It worked for GMing skills before AOS. I guess it could work for 100+.
