Did EA/Mythic and Stractics forget to Patch against DST?

I noticed Napa, Pacific, Sonoma, and Baja were all down at 6am, but they were supposed to go down at 5am Pacific Time.

Did they forget to patch against the DST (Daylight Savings Time) change or are these servers just down?

Actually the posts here at Stratics are showing the wrong time also. They obviously didn't patch for the DST change.

This daylight savings time change has really been a hassle in the IT industry.

I heard second hand that the reason congress made this change was to save money on heating costs. I guess they totally disregarded all the IT infrastructre that is impacted by this change. I'm sure that once everything is said and done it will prove to be a net loss... At least for the next few years

I know some companies have spent 10's of thousands of dollars to make their systems able to deal with this change...

Well... you know what they say. Pro and con are opposing prefixes. So I guess Congress is the opposite of progress *poke*

Well even if they didn't do anything about it, all they have to do is wait a few weeks and it will be back in synch.

Sonoma maintenance was back to normal this morning ... 5am PT, 7am CT ...

thanks Jeremy and whoever sped the mouse up ... maybe cathat was let loose on it :shocked:

No one was really prepared for the change this year. A lady who works with me part-time works full-time for the Navy and said the Naval Academy had to call in IT professionals last-minute to fix their computers.

That's the way we usually do business, last minute, highest dollar. It ensure that the civilian community around the base will love us.

Not really sure why we cannot seem to plan for KNOWN events, but we sure can plan for the unknown (all our war plans).
