delay in casting spell

If I am running a mage with a 2/6 does anyone know that delay between casting spells? I am trying to setup a macro with a delay but i am not sure what that delay would be.

Doesn't it depend on the spell?

This may be really outdated information, but according to stratics 8th circle spells have a delay of 4 seconds, with each point in faster casting taking away .25 seconds of time. Each circle down has a .50 less delay.

This seems like too long of a delay... other people probably have links to more current sources on the topic.
