![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | **Custom Waypoints - Fishing/Entering SOS's - Treasure Hunting/TMaps ** Another excellent guide from Miss Echo Having messed around with trying to find a way to enter SOS's into the KR create waypoint feature and plotting tmap locations, we found it nearly impossible. So Cymoril and I have been working on creating an excel file to work out your co-ords automatically. At least until such time as KR will let you enter info in as per the sos that 'works'. However, even if they do this, this spreadsheet is still useful for entering in a lot of sos's in one go rather than individually. Once you enter the degrees/minutes off your SOS it will automatically calculate the X & Y coordinates to give you an accurate location for your sos. It will also give you the required xml text to copy into your user data file, especially handy if you have to enter a bunch. You will need to have excel software with the analysis toolpak add-in for it to work but it basically looks like this: ![]() We have tested this and it works fine, you can also enter your friends sos locations as well if they send you their xml text so when fishing together you can see where yours are and theirs are [smile]. The excel file may be downloaded here: SOS Entry If you want to use the tmap coords that we have also put together into xml format (extracted from uoam coords), don't select custom waypoint number '8' in map options as the tmap coords are set to that. For your info only, the way the custom waypoints work in xml is: custom 1 = type="15" custom 2 = type="16" etc to custom 10 = type="24" We have set the tmap one to custom 8 which = type="22" or else you will need to change all the type 22's to whichever you end up using. (Note: you can select any custom number you want for the SOS entry sheet, in the SOS eg above we have it on number 10) The xml text for adding these waypoints is located here to copy and paste: T Map Location Waypoints These are all the tmap spots for trammel, although we deleted the ones in HAVEN as half were in the water, one was under the bushido building and the other couple we don't think work so removed them. Also note atm it appears that cursor over yourself to show text 'your location' is 'missing' when using these tmap locations you may find that instead of 'your location' appearing over you you become a tmap location, this only applies in facet 1 trammel, no idea why it is doing it but just be aware of it. The xml text appears 100% accurate so think it is something to do with the kr client not working the 'your location' thing properly, as in trammel when tmaps are loaded it lets you 'edit' yourself which you shouldn't be able to do as it is a default waypoint, not a custom one. I think it has something to do with it being 'blank' atm. Either way deleting your xml file in user data will put anything back to the default as it was if you need to. ![]() ![]() |
