Also, don't bother trying to get a GM to ban the vendor, they will just ignore the problem. The house owner can't even dump the contract until it expires. Just a heads up to buyers beware!

Didn't happen to me or my friends, no need to be sorry. Saw the scams and just warning folks so we don't have to be sorry for others losing hard earned gp.

Good warning! I always buy mine from a guildmate so don't worry about it. But I'll keep it in mind if I go elsewhere.

I have seen tokuno dyes (the white and black ones) for sale for some crazy amount of gold (can't remember just know I will never have that much) and I looked at the uses left....only had 1 use left. WTF! I wonder if they will ever make those dyes available again.

Ive noticed this a lot. I think there is also a way to scam someone into buying an item with uses and the seller can actually use it while its in trade window. I havnt been a victim of this but I have bought powder in bulk where a few of them had less than 10 charges. I would check over every single thing. Takes time but worth the cash lost for not looking.

In Luna on Europa, I have seen vendors that have had very cheap items on sale hidden behind the more expensive items, both for the exactly same price; hoping to catch someone out if they do not click exactly right on the item.

I've seen similar scams with piles of recall scrolls. One or two of the stacks among several dozen will have a few extra zeros tacked on the end of the price. Mistake? Perhaps... but unlikely.
