Just installed ICQ using name Bill Seiko.
All I need now is to try using it and have a quick go on UO.
Then I can tell you where I am upto.

Oh that part I knew... but I thought there was actually "send people private messages" to people who are not in party or guild... but doesn't seem to be one =(

Bill let us know what shard you decide to play on (Europa or Drachenfels would probably suit you best for connection) and I expect someone on the Forum will be happy to give you a bit of time to help you start.
Europa has a large role playing community manly in English and Drachenfels has less people but more space.

Ok I got an apprentice paladin called Louie and with the help of someone I got a bit of better armor and got my strength to 50 so I did a bit of mining but not very successfully.
I got a few items but not sure what they are for.
I am at present outside the blacksmith in Haven.
On Drachenfels shard, but not got much idea what I am doing

:embarasse .
Any help would be very much appreciated.

PS Most of my chars get named after pets I have had

The game goes have a bit of a learning curve for sure. If you can find a mentor, or a guild who will accept you, it can help a whole lot.
