When I posted on the Uhall version of this saying that it wasn't funny because it showed how poor EA's customer service was it was deleted. When I challenged the posts deletion I got a warning. I guess UOSS is in EA's pocket.... all I can assume.

@Adam -

Reference your previous post - don't automatically condemn people running two clients on the same system. This is possible through the magic of KR.

You can run 2D and KR at the same time - great for house decoing.

Wasn't condemning, was just wondering if it's now possible, is all.

Re: Come see the Luna scripter on Chesapeake (No name Given)

Ah, I see! It is indeed possible.

Multiple KR Clients: Nothing special, just keep starting 'em up until your PC cries uncle (probably at the 3 client point)

Multiple 2D: Still not possible, afaik.

2D + KR: Start 2D first, the start KR by skipping the patch screen. Voila!

Not sure it's intended, but it's nice to be able to swap items between accounts without hiding stuff behind building corners in obscure locations!

Makes dual-clienting easier, too, for peerless - but I still like to use 2 computers instead of ctrl-tab. Makes me feel like I'm at the center of a command hub to be surrounded by keyboards and monitors!

afaik, Fast User Switching works (if you want to run all the extra services to do so) but you have to go back and forth between user names to play them.

I don't think '...run as' works, but I could give it a try...once again, you'd probably need the terminal services to run fast user switching and all of this would need to be enabled through your services snap-in through msc.

EDIT: sorry, forgot you need Secondary Logon for the '...run as' context option.
EDIT 2: I tried the secondary logon and it simply does not work. The '...run as' option SEEMS to work (patcher loads up), but when it goes to actually load the program, the 'UO.exe' file simply sits in the background, after being terminated by task manager, it only seems to want to chirp that another instance of UO is already running when you try it a second time.

Seems like fast user switching or KR + 2D mix and match is the easiest way to go.

Then again, most XP installations (save custom) have the correct services (and usually too many) enabled to begin with, but I just shut mine down because I like to optimize free RAM (plus I don't like Remote Desktop or Remote Registry) and save CPU ticks for important programs (UO and firefox for instance).

To the best of my knowledge, UO limits clients to one per system user-name (ie, one for Rob and one for Bob, but not two for Bob and vice versa) for the 2d client.

EDIT: Above I have confirmed, but it seems like UO takes it a bit further and does a check for ANY open instances of 2D prior to actually launching another client on the logged-in user account (which would explain why Fast User Switching works). As to why KR does not do this is beyond me. Probably the check doesn't exist in the loader the same way it does for 2d.
