Saw a few folks asking about claiming promo items & upgrading accounts.. So here ya go I posted this elsewhere on UOF but decided it needed it's own thread. Might even be a sticky

Inside the box, you will find the manual. on the back is your upgarde code
Simply copy that upgarde code, dashes and all, then do the follow ing

1) Go to UO.com and account management, then Subscription Info, then click Upgrade Account paste in your code and follow instructions.

2)Now enter game with that account, press Help, then the arrow next to promo(last selection), then again paste in your code, remember dashes included.

You will then recieve 9 greenish books (9th anniv tokens), and 3 other tokens.
2 of the other tokens are for items from the new decor sets, crystal etc. double clk the token and you'll get a colored box, in it will be items from the new tile set. Some for the other tile set. The last token will be your personal attendant token.

PS ~ Please remember once you use the code and get all the above tokens it is NOT necesarry to use the tokens right away. They can be kept and used for trade, awards etc indefinately in that form, follow?

One thing I saw earlier was the statement that the "Heritage Items wont be around forever." I got a little startled with that; do they mean redeeming the code for the tokens, or redeeming the tokens for the goods?

Also, the Personal Attendants: you redeem the token and get a deed usable by anyone? Account linked, char linked, anything like that?

Well that's been the usual marketing speak, until a few months down the road and you see them in the UO store (of which I AM a fan).

Ok let's say worst case scenario and you do not enter your code by the drop dead date. The only thing that happens is you do NOT recieve the 9 (th Ann. tokens. You will still get one token each for the new tile set furniture, and the personal attendent.

Once the codes are used and tokens are in hand, so far I've never had a problem with them not working when I go to choose the item.
Only the Red
Soulstone is account bound on choice. All other tokens are tradeable (SP?), which is the idea of the whole thing.
I'm not sure yet if the PA's bind on token use. Doesn't seem to me that they should.

I have a 105 month account, and I am interested in trading/selling the 7 rewards that I have, I need to know which reward is tradeable, and which are not, when I go to the UO site, I cant find the info I need on them. I have read in this forum that the red souls stone is account specific, what about the weapong engraving tool? and the decorative cannon or statue makers?

Basically anything but the Red soulstone can be traded. The ability to actually USE the item is govermned by account age.

So yes you can trade just about all the rewards.

Nice, I just got my tokens. Didn't even realize I got anything for the 9th anniv.
