Are people collecting chocolate? Any reason to?

I'm not sure there is a reason for collecting it.
I think cooks can make chocolates, at least thats what I over heard at the bank. So I don't think there is any reason for collecting it. I could be wrong though.

Yes, cooks can make it from ingredients (chocolate liquor, sugar, vanilla, cocoa butter) collected from ANY paragon creature in Ilshenar.
It can be made exceptional, but without maker´s mark

Only the gift pieces are blessed tho.

Yep, just go kill paragon creatures for the ingredients. I can't believe what people are asking for them (50K+ on GL) when they are not at all difficult to come by.

i found the ingreds for 10k a piece around town - saw someone selling a full set for 200k, LOL!!!!

its just stupid to have these items only available through combat (yes they do drop fairly quickly) but that is not the point.

In addition to being on paragons, EAMythic should have made a few (three?) new quests from npc bakers for exceptional baked goods from those people that are chefs. Once completed you would get a small percentage chance (I do not know say 2 to 5%)to get one of the ingredients as the reward along with some standard cooking components (some flour,dough whatever) but no gold. Maybe also restrict the quests to be only to be taken/complete a few times each week? Also chocolates should have been made markable. Give some pride to our chefs.

Give people that do not like to fight things the opportunity to interact too.

I agree with Warsong, it's boring that crafting additions have to go through combat. Recipe ingredients are already a pain to come by. And as those chocolates aren't anything overpowering or else, it just forces crafters to hunt (why would you pay for them??)

And it's sad they cannot be marked, removes most of the interest to me. I was really pleased when someone offered me a marked cake

Leave to WoW what belongs to WoW... let us crafter in our shops/towns rather than force us to hunt!
