Can you get a blackrock elemental off a boat?

I decided to come back to ultima after years away, and boy things have changed. I left just after Trammel was opened up, and I've always had a soft spot for the game. So long story short, while I figured out some of the new things (resists on armor, new skills, three new lands etc) I figured I'd break out the smith, do some mining, it seemed pretty simple and the bods were something new to try out. So off I go to feluccia to do some boat mining, I'm going along fine, nobodys around, deck full of ore, when all of a sudden everything goes gray. Seems I dug up a piece of blackrock (which seems useless) and some neferious elemental decided to boatjack me. Now my boat is parked in minoc, ore slowly decaying, my poor body is being eyed by buzzards and whats worse is the elemental is lounging on deck, drinking pina colada's and arguing with the tillerman over who was hotter, mary ann or ginger from gilligans island. Is there anyway to get him off the boat before all my ore is gone or even worse, I run out of those little umbrellas you put in your drinks?

Re: Can you get a blackrock elemental off a boat?

Morning Jiffydog,welcome to UOForums.
I am sorry to hear that you have encountered such a monster as this so soon after returning, they certainly are hard, for vets solo, let alone someone such as yourself.

Firstly ,did you know as a ghost you are still able to control your boat.?

Sail to the nearest town, hop off your boat, and go get resurrected.

Park your boat next to shore and tell your tillerman to drop anchor. Step onto shore and double click your tillerman. Press "Continue" when prompted, and your boat will be drydocked. A miniature version of your boat will appear in your backpack for convenient storage. Either master keys or key copies will work for drydocking a boat.

Hopefully that will remove the intruder or he will hop off along the way

Ships and the items in their holds decay at approximately the same rate as houses. In other words, a ship and all of its contents will completely vanish 10-12 days from when it was placed, assuming it is not refreshed during that time. Unlike a house, a ship does not leave its contents behind when it collapses.

I hope some of this info helps.

Be sure to post back and let us know how you get on .

Also let us know what shard you are playing on,so we can help you out in game if need be.

info from The Fishing Council of Britannia[FCB]

Sail to a port town with NPCs near the shoreline or dock. Hop off boat, get a rez, run back to near your boat (don't get on it), and yell GUARDS if the NPCS haven't already summoned help for you. That should be the end of your blackrock elly on a boat issue.

Re: Can you get a blackrock elemental off a boat?

What Tabbitha said about docking a boat is true as long as you don't have anything on/in your boat. Sadly to say to answer your question. No there is no easy way to get a blackrock elemental off your boat. He will probably win the argument with the tillerman. I believe after several hours he will naturally disappear but it is next to impossible to kill him
