Blockrock area

You probaly need more mana regen, mana increase, and lmc but anyways stick with it becasue without the blackrock it would be sooo much slower, hehe

Does the blackrock really make that much of a difference to gaining?

I started poisoning at 0 skill, I was at 25 or so off of less than a keg of Lesser Poison in maybe 20 minutes time tops.

I think I GMd Alchemy from bought skill in less than 5 hours playtime, probably closer to 3-4.

Nothing like almost getting killed while reading uoforums...

I finished eval today!

The gains are super fast...like .3 .4 at a time on certain skills sometimes even over 80. I'll be sad when its gone!

Absolutely.Ive taken 5 yrs so far to gain in Healing through natural means,and Kain GM'd it for me in a few hours taking my character there

Yes, it is. The ending of the blackrock event will probably be signaled by a patch or publish from EA. These have tended to be on Fridays in recent months.
