Beware the KR FemBot!

source found UO Kingdom Reborn

Found these I thought folk might like to see.

This was just what I had in my closet. The sandels look nice too.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am hoping for face changes too on existing characters. Here are some humans and more clothing I managed on test.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I'll add one

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ups, did not see this thread. I just opened another one. Sorry. So I post my sexy tamer here then. Only thing, I would love to have straight hair again. Otherwise, I love the new paperdoll.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I love the new paperdolls also.

here is my newer mage.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
K here's my warrior chick.
I will post more when I clear out some backpacks
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Heres Flut,love the obi.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My Dread Lady Fencer looks the part again!
Now if I could only have an eyepatch, I would be all set!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Take a look at the new Darkened Sky kamas Slice 'em, dice 'em, then finish 'em off by beating them with itty bitty mace balls. I love it!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh well since everyone else seems to be getting into the fashion plates, hmmm *coughs* mainly the guys I notice, here are the ladies on my account.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Left to right:

Fink the Younger: Highlander, Stealth-Shepherd, & Alchemist costumes.
My archer in Basic Black.
Leeloo, the Fifth Element, in boots, mylar-spandex pants & bungie braces.

Fink especially seems less round-faced than 2D, which is a shame. Maybe they'll let us choose our faces from the options provided for existing characters? Looks a little too gaunt, too. I suggested they make the paperdolls width- & height-scaleable by about +/-10% to let us tweak our look. Leeloo's hair isn't so bobbed as 2D, another disappointment. Also her breasts seem to have gone up 3 cup sizes. I'm pretty happy with the rest.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There are lots more .but I will move on to Cathats inevitable contribution, as we all know he just cant resist
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The one's she's wearing are actually kinda modeled of of Draconi's glasses

"Hey Draconiii"

"Hi Cathat"

*Yoink

"Mah Glasses!"

"Its for the greater good Draconi - BRB - K - Bai"

(kidding - actually i asked him nicely)

I think it’s an Elven Wonderbra - with +10 Oo

LOL - But only on certain outfits where you’d expect to see that. I want a lot of her Mail and Armor stuff to be purely “business” er well, at least more so than some low cut gown or tops.

I was brought out of my little box they keep me in - to help out with the New Female Paperdoll, and see that she makes you guys happy – so I’m trying to help work as much variation and details into things without deviating too much from what we all think it ought to look like.

She looks pretty good in all these fashion shows – especially since she’s still in her first phase here.

Thanks for putting them together guys!

OK I gotta say I absolutely LOVE the plain dress. The fancy dress I can take it or leave it.
On a side note...

A friend of mine said my ole Voodoo Child looks FAT!
OMG She said she had fat thighs!!!
Man...
You tell me.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ROFL - no
But maybe I should make that amazon top she's wearing a bit thinner in the straps though. Might be more flattering that way.
Well here are my girls. Notice how they're all covered up? Maybe now I can dress them up. Love the new paperdoll.
Oh and the carapace fits now.
Re: Beware the KR FemBot!
From the perspective of UO's own little world, the artists have improved the female paperdoll massively. Good job!
But from the perspective of the MMO world, compare these screenshots to any of the current top MMOs and it's clear to see that the standard of this work pales in comparison. Not only the paperdoll itself but the surrounding UI elements, the frame, the icons, the fonts, the alignment. It's an embarrassment to our game unfortunately. :-(
We've been seeing posts where the old and new UOKR, 2D and 3D paperdolls have been compared side by side. What we really need to do is compare "the best they can do" (which is apparently what is posted above) to screenshots of other MMO paperdolls and avatar profiles.
Re: Beware the KR FemBot!
*sigh*
How many times must this be done? The reason it is done like this is because they want it to still keep the UO feel. Also its widely known that you dont have to have a uber computer to play UO, again same thing.
I mean really if you want eye candy go play WOW or something. You can have all the eye candy you want because the way I compare it, in uo even on a newb char you cxan hang out with friends and do stuff, in wow if your not the same level it dont matter and you spend most of the time alone or with people you dont know until you can reach the level of your friends. I'm sorry but the community of UO kicks wows ass any time and I dont care what mumbo jumbo anyone gives me to think other wise and yes I play wow as well so I am not bashing the game. I am not a big fan of KR yet but they are making it better as it comes along. I wish people would put that damn stick down because even though the horse is dead, its pretty tired of getting the crap beat out of it.
Re: Beware the KR FemBot!
Agreed. Great graphics don't make the game. Everyone knows its the awsome storyline and gameplay! I still think Final Fantasy VI rocks as the best ff while others like the more sweet graphics of the later games. I marvel at the awsomeitity (is that a word) of the old Ultima games! Even though 2d UO graphics are an updated polished Ultima Pagan's I still love the False Profit graphics my self.
If UO made there graphics out to look like the other MMO's then thats just what it would be "Another MMO" Remember this is the MULTIVERSE THAT IS ULTIMA ONLINE!
Re: Beware the KR FemBot!
A word to both Crypt Keeper and cadetthepagan. Gentlemen: If there is anyone who has ranted for years about the very things you speak of - it is I. I agree with you wholeheartedly, believe me. You have completely misunderstood my post. Do I want our Sosaria and everything that makes Ultima Online unique and special to become yet another MMO copy?
HELL NO!
When I speak of things such as "standard of work" - all I am talking about is QUALITY. The original version of our game was quality, but gradually it has began to crumble away as developers have come in and added their own personal touches and views, slowly smothering away the original and complete concept into a freaky hybrid of many strange things that don't match.
UOKR is a trouper-like attempt to fix all that and make the game visually consistent and whole again. I commend the UO team for TRYING their best, but as a game artist myself, all I can do is wince at the results we have seen so far.
When I speak of comparing screenshots to other MMOS - I did NOT mean UO should look the same. I meant that UO art should be UO, but at a equal standard of quality. All you have to do, is visit a Blizzard web page to see what I mean by quality.
And just to spell this out. Quality: art which is beautifully executed and polished down to the last pixel. Balance in light, shadow, contrast, colors, anatomy, margins, fonts, perspective, alignment etc etc.
I agree the quality could be better. Though I dontl think WoW's quality is all that perfect but that;s just me. Anyway we have to remember this is just the 1st version of the redesigned paperdoll. They released it now..so we could catch things. Like hair going through some hats and what not. And I admit things like the hair going through the hats in some weird places probably should have been caught before these were released. But they are human..and it;s often easier for many eyes to catch something then just a few people.
