Hey guys , what would the best weapon be for a Samurai/Paladin?

I currently have a 2h Sword of the Stampede but I want something with a better 'kick'
It has to be under 20mil.

What type of armor do you recommend? Should I just go with a luck suit?
I am currently building up the virtue armor set , I have all the pieces but cant wear them yet. That will give me all 70s.
Rings I was going to use a +DI type rings or +swords or something.

This is a new character , right now I am doing the newbie quests for the items in haven.

I would suggest something with high mana leech first then stamina and life leech after that. Also I try to use weapons that have the whirlwind attack special move because I seem to really leech alot when I use it. Right now I have a pair of Kamas that I use when I get into trouble in a crowd that has 40 ML 45 LL and 35 SL, very handy indeed. Of course you want two handed weapons to enhance you blocking chances but I get by with one handed weapons all the time.

i run with a few ornates and double axes on the ornates you need 25%ssi at least
you can now make pretty good axes with bronze hammers if you have a crafter you may need to burn alot of hammers tho
mods to look out for are:
ssi
di
mana leach
stam leach
life leach
hit lower defence
hit lower attack
but i cant stress enough if you use an ornate you need 25-30 ssi

Is this intended for PvM or PvP? It matters, as the weapons I use really are different depending on what I'm doing with my Sammy Paladin. For PvM, the high leeches/ssi/di are important, and the items I look for first. I'm partial to radiant scimitars and ornate axes myself, though I do carry a pretty pimp butcher knife as well. For PvP, I look for SSI/HLD/HLA/DI/Hit spell in that order. When doing this, I have a sweet Ornate Axe I use, as well as an Executioner's Axe and a nice katana. Really depends on your uses. Even with the PvP guy, if we're doing spawns I'll probably be carrying a radiant scimitar of some type for the whirlwind attack, as it comes in handy. If I could only have one weapon for a dual purpose guy, it would probably be an ornate axe with a radiant scimitar a close second. FWIW.

I've been testing a nice leafblade with high 40s in ML, SL, DI with 30ish SSI. I'm also partial to Dread's Revenge for PvSpawn, with the 50% SSI. Not much good for high end mobs or pvp, but it wrecks the first couple levels of a champ.

Soulseeker is a nice radient, too.

Its against monsters , mainly basic dungeon mobs for now. Our server pop stinks so its hard finding a party to hit doom or anything

Im not the smartest player but these look great esp for pvm.

Is the lower rec good if you get your str sapped?

I would have to agree with you. On my samurai swordmans for PvM I use the soul seeker and shield. I know it is one handed but the leeches, swing speed, and the damage is awesome and it is hard to beat. For PvP I use an Excutioner's Axe with SSI, HLA, and HML. I am looking for a hatchet to replace my axe with SSI, HLA or HLD, HML, and some type of hit spell.

If you have bushido and you're holding a shield you basically have next to no parrying chance.

For pvm I've used diamond maces, runeblades, and ornates all with high swing speed, mana & stam leech and at this point I think I prefer the ornate. It swings a little slower than the other two but I prefer getting a big hit rather than the smaller faster hits of the other two. Another thing I ran into is casting consecrate between swings and getting lightning strike up in time before the faster weapon swings again. So I only carry the ornate and a double axe with similar stats for whirlwind.

I understand that but fighting whisp and the warriors at the event I would rather have the resist because without a shield you still get flamestriked. So I use a soul seeker and a shield.
