Re: Best One-Handed Swordsmanship Weapon

Wait... Am I to understand that my runic hammer properties will stack atop the properties of the recipe crafted item?? So that a overseered sundered blade will have the HCI SSI DI and 3-4 more properties?

That would be sweet.

Re: Best One-Handed Swordsmanship Weapon

As I'm led to understand it, some of them do add extra properties, some don't. I think the overseer blade is a don't. The twinkling scimitar is a do.

(just confirmed this by a little bit of shopping. The overseer blades all don't have extra properties, while the twinkling scimitars do.)

So be careful of what you make.

Best thing is to go on Test, grab the bag of recipes and see what you come up with

Re: Best One-Handed Swordsmanship Weapon

The Soulseeker is great. But I have just as much success and fun with my Blade Of Insanity (aka The Cuisinart)... a katana.

Just depends on how your swordsman is configured.

Wraith form (mana leech) + blade of insanity (100% stamina leech) = nearly unstoppable.

Re: Best One-Handed Swordsmanship Weapon

Receipes and Runics don't stack properties.

Some craftable items (like the Darkwood Armor suit) do receive properties from the *material,* but you can't craft a Darkwood suit with a Heartwood Runic Saw and get uber-stupid-gear.

Bummer, I know.

Haven't you seen twinkling scimitars or machete of defenses for sale with tons of mods on them?

Recipes for craftable Artifacts do not allow you to stack mods as a bonus from runic tools. These artifacts come with set mods and properties, with the exception of the Darkwood Armor pieces (and probably the other carpentry artifacts), which receive bonuses from the type of wood you're using.

Recipes for those craftable magic items that aren't considered artifacts always do stack mods with runic tools, regardless of carpentry, blacksmithy, etc.

Here is a list on uoguide for a good example. The 5 items at the top cannot have properties stacked on top with runic kits. All items below them can.
