Okay -

The bard calculator is wrong. It lists 129 as the base barding difficulty of a PARAGON Cu Sidhe. We all know it's 160. So...I need someone's help calculating my chance to discord at 104 music, 117.6 discord, exceptional instrument.

If I work the numbers myself, I come up with a '100.8' value that I don't know how to covert into a percent chance.

160 Base
-5 for exceptional
-10 for discord
-2 for 104 music
=143
(50+2*(117.6-143)) = 100.8

I know it's possible for me to discord a para cu, because I keep failing and I don't get the "your skill is not up to that" message.

Help?

Exceptional instruments give a +10 if I'm not wrong.

I'm not sure how to convert your number into a % chance though I'll look into it when I have some more time.

At 115 Disco 115 Music, I used to get them maybe once every 12-15 or so tries.

Your 11 extra points of music shouldn't make a *huge* difference...that is only a 5 point conversion in the above formula. Plus, my discord is slightly above 115 (117.6)

Having said that, I have definitely failed more than 12-15 times in a row...

Once again, my toons are stuck at the low end of the RNG...boo!

One lousy doom artifact (taskmaster) since AoS
1 Agapite SBOD since the system began, running 8 smiths
Never, ever been able to find an alchemist's bauble off a paragon
182,160 feathers from farming swoop without an artifact drop
1.6M plain logs, 500K oak, 180K ash, zero frostwood
120 stealthing through Labrynth, revealed by an Air elemental, ganked

And RL bad luck: got a heartwood runic saw, put it on a vendor. Cable company cut my fiber and couldn't log on for 2 weeks. Vendor gone, along with all stock and 5M gold.

The only honest-to-goodness RNG luck I've ever had was getting a blood red bag and bell one year. Sold it for 4M.

Well, my last most memorable, I was about to move houses, couldn't log for some days. Around hmmm, 20M of deco items decayed along with all my soulstone fragments (thankfully they re-activated the year after), my whispering roses named "From Britannia Garden", all my tailor bod reward cloths and... my vet reward clothings. Now that's dumb luck

Never got any minors from a single paragon though I farmed the Daemons for a long time with a friend.

I don't talk about enhances...

With the blackrock turn in, after 15 small and 5 large pieces the best I got was 10 mining gems, where some received artifacts and high runic hammers.

For the rest, I have what's the worst memory in history Though I know that when an uo system is based on RNG, I just must forget about trying it
